Chicago, IL – One Killed in Deadly Crash at IL-110 & Paulina St

Chicago, IL (August 7, 2020) – A collision in the Chicago area left one person dead and four others seriously injured on Monday, August 3. The collision occurred on IL-110 (Eisenhower Expressway) near S. Paulina Street at around 12:55 p.m. 

Initial reports revealed that the accident involved two vehicles, a 2007 white Infiniti and a 2015 blue Mitsubishi. The two vehicles were reportedly traveling eastbound on Interstate 290 when the Infiniti rear-ended the Mitsubishi for unknown reasons. The driver of the Infiniti lost control, left the roadway, and crashed into a tree on a nearby embankment. 

The Illinois State Police reported that a 19-year-old passenger in the Infiniti was killed in the crash. The 19-year-old man from Madison, Wisconsin and another 19-year-old passenger from Chicago were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. 

The 56-year-old Hanover Park woman driving the Mitsubishi and her 18-year-old female passenger were also injured and taken to a local hospital for treatment. The injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
