Chicago, IL – Man Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Sheridan Rd

Chicago, IL (August 1, 2020) – A man was in critical condition after being involved in a pedestrian accident in Chicago. The incident reportedly took place in the Rogers Park area on the North Side. Local news sources repealed the collision occurred on early Friday morning, July 31. 

At around 12:12 a.m., the 31-year-old man was running across the street at the 6400 block of N. Sheridan Road at the time of the accident. According to the Chicago Police Department, the man was struck by an oncoming vehicle. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. 

The injured pedestrian was transported to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois for the treatment of sustained injuries. The man reportedly suffered a skull fracture and a broken leg. No updates on the condition of the injured parties are currently available. 

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials. More details will be reported as the investigation continues.
