Chicago, IL – Five Injured in Accident at 35th St & California Ave

Chicago, IL (August 9, 2020) – Five people were injured following a collision in Chicago’s Brighton Park area on Saturday night, August 8, at around 6:15 p.m. According to reports from local authorities, the crash took place on the Southwest Side of the city near the intersection of W 35th Street and S California Avenue. 

Local news sources revealed that a young girl was transported to Stroger Hospital in serious-to-critical condition. Two teenage boys were transported to Stroger Hospital and Mt. Sinai Hospital, also in serious-to-critical conditions. 

Two adults were also injured in the collision. A male victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital in serious-to-critical condition, and a female victim was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious-to-critical condition. 

The details currently available on the accident are limited at this time. The factors contributing to the accident have not been revealed by local authorities. No updates on the conditions of the injured parties are currently available. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being conducted by local law enforcement officials, and more details will be released as it continues.
