Alton, IL (August 31, 2020) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries after being involved in a crash with another vehicle in the Alton area on Sunday night, August 30. The crash occurred across from the Advanced Auto Parts located at the 2500 block of Washington Avenue.
At around 7:40 p.m., first responders were called to the scene of the accident. Officials from the Alton Police Department and the Alton Fire Department were present at the scene. Initial reports revealed that the motorcyclist collided with a silver vehicle.
The rider reportedly sustained serious injuries in the crash. The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. At this time, the cause of the crash is still unknown.
The identity of the injured party has not been released at this time. An ongoing investigation into the accident is currently in progress.
