St Louis, IL – Amber Murphy Injured in Crash at I-70 & IL-203

St Louis, IL (July 7, 2020) – A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle collision in East St. Louis on Tuesday, June 30. The crash occurred near the intersection of I-70 and IL-203 at around 10:36 p.m. Local sources reported that Charles Thomas, 32, of Granite City, Illinois was driving a 2002 Blue Jeep Grand Cherokee on I-70 at the time of the crash.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a pole. The passenger, Amber Murphy, 40, from Madison, Illinois, was hospitalized for the treatment of life-threatening injuries.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
