Romeoville, IL – Multiple Injuries in Crash at IL-53 & Murphy Dr

Romeoville, IL (July 30, 2020) – There were multiple injuries reported after a multi-vehicle collision in Romeoville. Officials from the Romeoville Police Department were dispatched to the scene of a crash involving three vehicles at around 2:16 p.m. The site of the crash was reportedly located near the intersection of IL-53 and Murphy Drive. Local reports revealed that the three vehicles involved in the collision were a red Chevrolet Traverse, a gray Honda CR-V, and a gray BMW X5. 

At this time, the factors contributing to the collision have not been disclosed. The 58-year-old woman driving the Chevrolet was hospitalized, as well as the 33-year-old woman driving the Honda. Two passengers in the Honda, a 74-year-old man, and a 58-year-old woman, were also hospitalized. All four parties were transported to AMITA Bolingbrook Hospital by the Romeoville Fire Department for treatment. 

At this time, no updates on the conditions of the injured parties have been provided. No charges have been filed. 

An ongoing investigation into the accident is being conducted by local law enforcement officials.
