Romeoville, IL – Kevin Lawlor Killed in Crash on Independence Blvd

Romeoville, IL (July 1, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision involving a semi-truck resulted in the death of one man in Romeoville on Monday, June 29. The crash reportedly occurred at the corner of Independence Boulevard and Material Road at around 12:10 p.m. The deceased victim was later identified as Kevin Lawlor, 46, of Romeoville.

Lawlor was traveling south on Independence Boulevard when he was in a collision with a Kenworth semi-tractor with a trailer driven by a 58-year-old man from North Aurora, Illinois. Lawlor was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The truck driver also suffered injuries in the accident.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
