Hindsboro, IL (July 15, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision in Douglas County left one person dead and another injured on Tuesday morning, June 14. The collision occurred at the intersection of East 200 North Road (IL-133) and 3rd Street at around 1:00 a.m. According to reports from the Illinois State Police, Cindy Simpson, 61, of Hindsboro was turning into a parking lot when she failed to yield to another vehicle.
Simpson’s vehicle was hit by the other vehicle, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway. Simpson was killed in the collision. The driver of the other car, Joseph Graham, 37, of Brockton, Illinois, was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
