Greenup, IL - Driver Injured in Head-On Crash on IL-130

Head-on collisions are some of the most deadly types of accidents possible due to the increased force of impact. Unlike other types of crashes, both vehicles are traveling directly toward each other at the time of the crash. Statistics show that head-on crashes only account for around 2% of reported car accidents each year. However, head-on collisions are involved in nearly 10% of fatal motor vehicle crashes.

The injuries resulting from a head-on crash can be extremely severe. The most common include spinal injuries, brain injuries, catastrophic injuries, broken bones, and even paralysis. Head-on crashes are rare due efforts made by city and roadway planners, but when they do happen, they can result in catastrophic injuries and other damages.
