Effingham, IL – Barbara Runde Injured at Fayette Ave & Willow St

Effingham, IL (July 2, 2020) – A crash with injuries was reported on Sunday, June 28, in Effingham. At around 9:08 a.m, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Fayette Avenue and Willow Street. Frank C. Stupec, 64, Effingham was driving when he collided with another vehicle driven by Barbara A. Runde, 69, Teutopolis, Illinois.

Runde suffered injuries in the crash. She was later transported to HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. Stupec was ticketed for failure to obey a traffic control device.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
