Chicago, IL – Two Injured in Four-Car Collision on Dan Ryan Expy

Chicago, IL (July 18, 2020) – A car accident in Chicago left two people injured in an accident. A multi-vehicle collision occurred on Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90) near the intersection with 87th Street. According to local sources, the collision occurred just past midnight at around 12:08 a.m. on Friday morning, July 17. A total of four vehicles were involved in the accident. 

An infant reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries, and an adult victim is believed to have suffered critical injuries. Both injured parties were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment, and both were reportedly traveling in the same vehicle at the time of the crash. 

The cause of the crash has not been disclosed at this time. Emergency responders and officials from the Illinois State Police (ISP) were present at the scene to render aid to the injured parties involved. All lanes on the highway were closed from 79th Street to I-57 and Halsted SB. No further updates on the conditions of the injured parties have been provided. 

ISP is currently investigating the cause of the crash. More details will be made public as the investigation continues.
