Aurora, IL – Jeffrey Dillard Killed in Motorcycle Crash on N Lake St

Aurora, IL (July 28, 2020) – A man was killed following a motorcycle accident in Aurora. The collision took place on Friday evening, July 24, and involved a motorcycle and a sport-utility-vehicle. Local sources revealed that the accident took place at around 11:30 p.m. The site of the located at the 800 block of North Lake Street in front of the Northgate Shopping Center. 

Three people inside the SUV were also injured in the crash. According to local reports, 31-year-old Jeffrey A. Dillard was riding a motorcycle south on N. Lake Street when a Jeep Cherokee turned into his path. There was reportedly a large crowd of bystanders at the scene when emergency responders arrived. 

Paramedics from the Aurora Fire Department were present to assist Dillard and the three parties trapped inside the Jeep. The SUV reportedly overturned in the crash. Dillard was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No further details on the crash have been reported at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
