In Illinois, there were over 11,000 trucking accidents reported in 2014. That year, these collisions accounted for 10% of deadly car accidents. There were 95 people killed in semi-truck collisions that year.

These large vehicles can cause devastating injuries in the event of a crash. Driver inexperience is a leading cause of deadly commercial vehicle accidents as companies are trying to fill positions with a shortage of drivers. When negligence of another party causes a crash, injured victims should consult with an Illinois trucking injury lawyer.
