Peoria, IL (June 10, 2020) – A driver and her passenger were injured after their vehicle collided with a guardrail on a Peoria interstate on Tuesday, June 9th. The accident occurred on I-474 at around 4:05 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 34-year-old driver was driving an SUV when the vehicle veered off the road and struck a guardrail.

The crash caused extensive damage to the rail. The driver and one of her five passengers were injured in the collision. The driver was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage, and not wearing a seat belt.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
