Nunda, IL (June 5, 2020) – A Crystal Lake man is currently facing charges for driving under the influence after a deadly motorcycle collision in Nunda Township on Thursday, June 4th. The crash occurred near the intersection of State Route 31 and Drake Drive at around 4:38 p.m. Initial reports revealed that a black sports utility vehicle collided with a silver SUV on IL-31.
The silver SUV then crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a motorcyclist. The rider was taken to Northwestern Hospital in McHenry, Illinois where they were later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased party has not been reported at this time.
The driver of the black SUV, Robert A. Roth, 69, was arrested for DUI. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
