Northlake, IL – Mitza Lewis Fatally Struck on North Ave

Northlake, IL (June 28, 2020) – On Thursday, June 25, a woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident in Northlake. The collision reportedly occurred at the one block of North Avenue at around 1:13 p.m. Authorities were called to the scene to render aid to the 50-year-old woman.

The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead later that day at Gottlieb Hospital. The deceased party was later identified as Mitza Lewis. No further updates are available at this time.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
