Independence, IL (June 7, 2020) – A two-vehicle collision resulted in injuries in Independence Township on Friday morning, June 5th. The crash reportedly occurred at the intersection of IL-145 and Walnut Grove Road at around 10 a.m. Four people had to be flown from the scene for treatment.

Local authorities reported that five people were involved in the crash. Four of the parties involved were flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Illinois for treatment of sustained injuries. The highway was closed while emergency units were at the scene.

Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
