Effingham, IL – Karen Condron Killed in Head-On Crash on I-70

Effingham, IL (June 18, 2020) – An 80-year-old Effingham woman was killed following a head-on collision on Wednesday morning, June 17th. The crash occurred on I-70 WB at around 11:10 a.m. Initial reports revealed that a 2014 Toyota Rav 4 crossed the median, colliding head-on with a 2010 Ford Edge.

The driver of the Toyota, identified as Karen Condron, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the Ford were hospitalized for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No further updates are currently available.

The Illinois State Police is currently investigating the crash.
