Chicago, IL – State Trooper Injured in Crash at Michigan Ave & 79th St

Chicago, IL (June 25, 2020) – Two people were injured in a crash in Chicago on Wednesday, June 24th. The collision occurred at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and E. 79th Street at around 12:30 a.m. The trooper’s vehicle was reportedly struck by another vehicle while in the process of a traffic stop.

Both the trooper and the driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the stopped vehicle was not injured. No further updates on the accident are currently available.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is underway.
