Union Co, IL – Multiple Injuries in Rollover Crash on I-57

Union County, IL (May 11, 2020) – Three people from Mississippi suffered injuries following a rollover collision in Union County on Monday, May 11th. The accident took place at around 1 p.m. on I-57 near Lick Creek Road. According to local officials, a white Chevy Blazer was traveling south on I-57 when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned multiple times. 

When the vehicle came to a stop, it then caught fire. The three people inside the vehicle all managed to escape the Blazer. A driver and another passenger were flown to a hospital for treatment, while another passenger was transported to a medical facility by ambulance.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently in progress.
