Tuscola, IL – Motorcycle Crash with Injuries at US-36 & Co Rd 610 E

Tuscola, IL (May 22, 2020) – On Friday morning, May 22nd, Illinois State Police officials responded to the scene of a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger car in Tuscola. The crash reportedly took place at the intersection of US-36 (County Road 950 North) and County Road 610 East at around 11:30 a.m. A motorcyclist and his passenger both suffered injuries in the accident.

For unknown reasons, a 2019 Harley Davidson rear-ended a GMC Envoy that was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection. The operator of the bike was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition. The bike passenger was airlifted to a medical facility with serious injuries.

The operator of the bike was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently underway.
