Peru, IL (May 29, 2020) – Two ambulances reported to the scene of a collision in north Peru on Thursday afternoon, May 28th. Emergency units were called to the scene of the accident at around 1:40 p.m. A car and an SUV reportedly collided on IL-251 near O’Neal Steel.

The car involved in the crash ended up off-road with significant front-end damage, while the SUV remained on the road with notable rear-end damage. One person was transported to Illinois Valley Community Hospital for treatment. One other party refused treatment at the scene.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by local authorities.
