Northfield, IL – Fatal Rollover Crash at I-94 & Tower Rd

Northfield, IL (May 31, 2020) – Two drivers suffered injuries after a collision in Northfield on Friday night, May 29th. The collision occurred on the Edens Expressway (I-94) near Tower Road at around 9:45 p.m. A Volvo reportedly lost control and began to roll, colliding head-on with a Nissan Infiniti.

Both vehicles sustained significant damage. One of the drivers was thrown from their vehicle in the impact. Both drivers were transported to a medical facility in critical condition. The driver of the Volvo was later pronounced dead.

An investigation into the crash is currently underway.
