Pontiac, IL (April 25, 2020) – A car accident was reported in the area of Pontiac, Illinois on Friday afternoon, April 24th. At this time, the extent of the resulting injuries hasn’t been reported. Authorities responded to the scene of the crash at around 2:56 p.m.

Local sources reported that the accident took place on I-55 SB near IL-23 interchange. All lanes on I-55 SB were closed while investigators were at the scene. The cause of the crash hasn’t been reported at this time.

No further details on the crash have been made public. An ongoing investigation into the crash is being handled by local authorities.
