Naperville, IL – 2 Critically Injured at Washington St & 12th Ave

Naperville, IL (April 3, 2020) – A 19-year-old man and woman were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following an accident in Naperville, Illinois on Thursday, April 2nd. The crash occurred at the intersection of Washington Street and 12th Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. According to reports from officials, Honda Accord driven by a 51-year-old Naperville man ran a stop sign, colliding with a Ford Focus driven by a 24-year-old man from Lisle, Illinois.

The impact caused the Ford to lose control and hit a utility pole. Both 19-year-old passengers of the Ford were transported to nearby hospitals in critical condition. The driver of the Honda was cited for running a stop sign.

The crash investigation is currently underway. More details will be released as it continues.
