Edwardsville, IL (April 1, 2020) – One person was injured following a crash involving a semi-truck and a passenger car on Wednesday morning, April 1st. The crash took place in Edwardsville, Illinois on I-55 near the IL-143 overpass, north of Troy, Illinois. Local sources revealed that the accident occurred at around 12:30 a.m.

According to officials with the Illinois State Police, at least one person at the scene had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment. No updates on their condition have been provided. No other details on the crash have been released at this time.

An ongoing investigation into the accident is being handled by ISP.
