Chicago, IL – 14 Injured in 60-Car Pileup on I-90 near North Ave

Chicago, IL (April 15, 2020) – A massive multi-vehicle collision left multiple people injured early Wednesday morning, April 15th, in Chicago. The collision occurred on I-90 (Kennedy Expressway) near North Avenue. 14 people were hospitalized and 45 others were evaluated at the scene of the accident. 

The 14 injured parties were transported to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment. Local authorities reported at around 5 a.m. that icy conditions were responsible for an array of collisions. Speed is also believed to have been a factor in the accident.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is currently underway.
