Chances are, most of us have seen cars with scrapes, scratches, and other damage. There’s a high chance that these damages were caused by sideswipe accidents. These accidents often happen when drivers change lanes without looking, causing the side of their car to make contact with the side of another vehicle.

Distracted and reckless drivers are often liable for sideswipe collisions. In 2018 alone, around 36,560 people were killed in sideswipe accidents. Injured parties may be able to pursue lost compensation by contacting an Illinois car crash attorney.
