Chicago, IL (March 1, 2020) – On Friday, February 28th, a 20-year-old woman was ticketed following a three-vehicle accident that left two people injured in Chicago’s Scottsdale area. At around 6:50 p.m., a Lexus LS 460 made a turn onto Pulaski Road from 77th Street, striking a Nissan SUV. The impact caused the Nissan to hit a Chevy Suburban traveling southbound on Pulaski.
The driver of the Nissan, a 30-year-old woman, was transported to Holy Cross Hospital for treatment, while her passenger was uninjured. The 35-year-old woman driving the Suburban was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Her four passengers weren’t harmed.
The driver of the Lexus nor her two passengers were injured. The woman was ticketed for driving without a license and failure to reduce speed and avoid an accident. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
Chicago Intersection Accidents
Intersections are a typical part of any commute or drive for most residents of Chicago. Like most busy cities, these intersections can become congested due to the flow of traffic throughout the day. When drivers cross an intersection carelessly, they risk causing a serious crash.
Intersections are involved in 50 percent of injury collisions each year. More than 2.5 million accidents happen at intersections annually across the country. When a reckless driver causes injury to another party, compensation can be pursued with the help of a Chicago car crash attorney.
