Jerseyville, IL – Christian Cazier Killed in Head-On Crash on US-67

Jerseyville, IL (February 5, 2020) – A head-on collision involving a tractor-trailer left a 19-year-old man dead near Jerseyville, Illinois on Tuesday, February 4th. The accident happened at around 3:25 p.m. near the intersection of US-67 and Kristie Lane. Christian Cazier, of Jerseyville, reportedly was traveling on US-67 when he collided head-on with the tractor-trailer.

Cazier was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is currently unknown.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is currently being managed by the Illinois State Police.
