Gurnee, IL – Man Injured in Rear-End Crash with Semi at US-41 & IL-21

Gurnee, IL (February 18, 2020) – A man was injured in Gurnee, Illinois after rear-ending a semi-truck on Sunday night, February 16th. The accident occurred at the intersection of US-41 and IL-21 near the time of 8:40 p.m. The 26-year-old Evanston man driving a 2015 Buick sedan struck the rear of the semi-truck as stopped at an intersection.

The factors contributing to the accident aren’t known at this time. The driver of the Buick was taken to a nearby medical facility in critical condition by Gurnee Fire Department crews. The driver of the semi was uninjured in the accident.

No charges have been filed at this time. An investigation into the crash is currently underway.
