Arlington Heights, IL (February 26, 2020) – One person was reportedly injured after a Metra train struck an SUV in Arlington Heights, Illinois on Monday morning, February 24th. Authorities reported that the crash took place at around 11:30 a.m. at the Metra crossing located at the intersection of Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway. Local firefighters had to extricate one person from the SUV.

The injured victim was transported to Northwest Community Hospital. The factors contributing to the collision aren’t known at this time. The identity of the injured party has been withheld.

Local officials are conducting an investigation into the crash.
