Altamont, IL – Man, Juvenile Injured in I-70 Tractor-Trailer Crash

Altamont, IL (February 18, 2020) – A driver and a young passenger were injured after being involved in a crash with a tractor-trailer in Altamont, Illinois on Monday, February 17th. The collision happened near mile marker 85 on I-70. Initial reports revealed that the accident involved a 2018 Infiniti SUV and a 2017 International tractor-trailer.

Police reports indicated that the SUV, driven by Ginorio Migdalia, 56, was traveling on I-70 WB when the tractor-trailer, driven by Derek A. Boxdorfer, 34, of Kampsville, Illinois merged into the right lane and collided with the vehicle. The SUV hit a guardrail due to the impact.

Both Migdalia and a female juvenile passenger were taken to HSHS St. Anthony’s Hospital for treatment. An ongoing investigation into the crash is being handled by local authorities.
