Plainfield, IL – Fatal Pileup Accident Near I-55 & US-30

Plainfield, IL (January 19, 2020) – Officials from the Illinois State Police responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving four vehicles on Sunday, January 19th, in Plainfield, Illinois. Authorities responded to the scene of the crash near the intersection of Interstate-55 and US-30 at around 6:00 a.m. At least one person was reportedly killed in the crash. 

Authorities haven’t yet released the cause of the accident. Three of the four lanes were closed following the crash due to police activity in the area. The status of the other involved parties wasn’t reported.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being handled by ISP. No further details are currently available.
