A rear-end crash is the most common form of car accident reported in the United States. These crashes are often caused by inattentive drivers who fail to notice the car ahead of them has come to a stop. In other cases, drivers may just be speeding down the road and unable to stop in time to avoid a collision.

Six percent of all deadly collisions involve rear-end impacts and 26 percent of all crashes reported annually are rear-end accidents. Injured parties may be eligible to recover lost compensation by contacting an Illinois car crash attorney.
