Head-on crashes are well-known for causing serious injuries. They are fairly rare, only accounting for 2 percent of all reported crashes each year. However, head-on collisions are responsible for nearly 10 percent of all fatal roadway accidents.

Head-on crashes often take place when drivers enter oncoming lanes of traffic. These crashes often happen at high-speeds and can cause catastrophic injuries. Injured parties should consult with a qualified Illinois car crash lawyer to discuss their case.
