Glen Carbon, IL (January 10, 2020) – A man was hospitalized after being hit by a car on Tuesday, January 7th. The crash occurred on the 4200 block of IL-159 at 8:20 p.m. First responders found the injured pedestrian, a 31-year-old man, at the scene.

The injured victim was transported to Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois and then airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Illinois. The driver who hit the man was later found and questioned by authorities. No identities have been released at this time.

Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident. More details will be released as the investigation continues.
