Chicago, IL – Man Struck By Train At Euclid & Chicago Aves

Chicago, IL (January 4, 2020) – A driver was critically injured on Wednesday, January 1st, near the intersection of South Euclid and South Chicago Avenues at around 11:35 a.m. The man was hit by a train at the CSX Transportation railroad tracks.

The victim was driving a navy blue Nissan Sentra when he collided with the train. He had to be extricated from the vehicle by the East Chicago Fire Department. The victim was reportedly conscious when he was flown via helicopter to a hospital in Chicago. The man is believed to be in stable condition.

Local officials are currently investigating the accident at this time. No further details are currently available.
