Springfield, IL – 2 Vehicle Injury Crash At S Veterans Pkwy & I-72

Springfield, IL (December 7, 2019) – A collision in Springfield, Illinois on Friday, December 6th, resulted in two people being injured. The crash occurred near the intersection of South Veterans Parkway and Interstate-72 at around 1:50 p.m. Emergency responders revealed that two vehicles were involved in the crash.

One vehicle turned over in the crash. The driver had to be rescued and taken to a local area hospital. Another male victim in the other vehicle was also hospitalized following the accident.

The intersection was closed after the incident due to police activity. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
