Oswego, IL – Injuries Reported Following Target Parking Lot Crash

Oswego, IL (December 24, 2019) – A teenage driver from Yorkville, Illinois is facing charges after hitting three vehicles and injuring drivers in a Target parking lot in Oswego, Illinois on Saturday, December 21st. The accident occurred at the 3020 block of US-34 (Walter Peyton Memorial Highway) at around 1 p.m. Initial reports revealed that Lauren Franklin, 18, cut through the parking lot, colliding with three cars in the process. 

Franklin reportedly struck two SUVs and a sedan, injuring three drivers. Franklin’s own vehicle somehow turned over during the incident. The at-fault motorist was charged with a class A misdemeanor of reckless driving.

Franklin is currently awaiting a court date. Local officials are conducting an investigation into the crash.
