Lake Villa, IL – Woman, Baby Killed At Beach Ave & IL-59

Lake Villa, IL (December 21, 2019) – A fatal crash in Lake Villa, Illinois took the lives of a woman and a young boy late Thursday evening, December 19th. The crash occurred near the intesrection of Beach Avenue and IL-59 at around 5:20 p.m. Four others were injured, including a toddler. 

Initial reports revealed that a woman driving a Nissan SUV was traveling on IL-59 NB when her vehicle was struck by a Ford pickup truck attempting to change lanes. This caused the Nissan to roll and slide, striking a Hyundai minivan. The woman driving the Nissan and her 1-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two drivers and the teenage passenger of the Hyundai were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment. An investigation into the accident is currently underway.
