Effingham, IL (December 16, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash occurred on I-70 near Effingham, Illinois. The accident took place on Monday, December 16th, at around noon, near the intersection with Fayette Avenue. Three school buses and one semi-truck were reportedly involved in the accident. 

According to initial reports, some of the drivers involved in the accident were hospitalized following the collision. At least one vehicle fell into the embankment near the interstate. None of the buses were carrying students at the time of the accident.

There were significant delays on the roadway following the collision. Local law enforcement is handling the investigation into the accident.
