Chicago, IL (December 27, 2019) – A rollover collision on Chicago’s south side left two people injured. The crash took place at the 5500 block of Lake Shore Drive at around noon. According to initial reports, a 28-year-old man was traveling southbound on Lake Shore Drive when he rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 43-year-old woman. 

The woman’s vehicle overturned, striking a concrete median. The woman and her passenger were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center for treatment. The driver who struck the woman refused medical treatment.

He was cited for following too closely and driving without insurance coverage. An investigation into the cause of the accident is being handled by local officials.
