Chicago, IL (November 24, 2019) – Four people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle accident on Friday, November 22nd, in the Kilbourn Park area of Chicago. The crash took place at around 10:28 p.m. at the 3300 block of North Milwaukee Ave. near Kedvale Ave. and Roscoe St. Authorities reported that three vehicles were involved in the collision.
Initial reports indicated that a silver Infiniti sedan traveling on Milwaukee Ave. SE collided with a red Ford Explorer traveling northbound. Authorities claim the driver of the Infiniti, a 28-year-old woman, was attempting to pass a Hyundai Sonata ahead of her and collided head-on with the Explorer, causing the Ford to hit the Sonota.
The driver of the Infiniti and her passenger were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, along with the driver of the Explorer and his two passengers. No other injuries were reported.
The Infiniti driver was cited at the scene for failure to reduce speed, driving left of center, and not having insurance. Local authorities are currently investigating the accident.
