Chicago, IL (November 27, 2020) – A deadly pedestrian accident was reported on Chicago’s South Side late on Thursday evening, November 26.
The site of the fatal crash was located at the 8700 block of S. Cottage Grove Avenue. Local authorities were notified of the accident at around 11 p.m. that evening. According to local sources, the driver of a sedan collided with the rear of a sport-utility vehicle, causing the SUV to overturn. The SUV hit and killed a nearby pedestrian.
At this time, the identity of the deceased pedestrian has not been provided. The injured male suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly crash is currently underway.
