Chicago, IL - Man Killed in Intersection Collision on Jeffrey Ave

Chicago, IL (June 1, 2020) - A man was killed and two others injured following a crash in Chicago on Sunday, May 31st. The accident occurred in the Jeffrey Manor area at the 9500 block of Jeffrey Avenue. A Jeep Renegade driven by a 22-year-old man ran a red light at around 2:16 a.m. and collided with a Nissan Rogue. 

The driver of the Jeep was transported to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois and was later pronounced dead. The cause of his death is currently unknown. A female passenger of the Jeep was also taken to Christ Medical Center, and the 30-year-old man driving the Nissan was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Both were reportedly in critical condition.

Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the crash.
