St Francis, IL - Stop-Sign Injury Crash at E 1400th Ave & N 2300th St

St Francis, IL (May 24, 2020) - Two people suffered injuries in a crash in St. Francis Township on Saturday morning, May 23rd. The crash reportedly occurred at the intersection of East 1400th Avenue and North 2300th Street at around 11:50 a.m. Officials from the Illinois State Police responded to the scene. 

According to initial reports, a gray Saturn ran a stop sign, colliding with a truck. The 16-year-old driver of the Saturn was hospitalized for treatment of their injuries. A 19-year-old passenger in the vehicle was flown by medical helicopter to a trauma hospital with serious injuries.

An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by ISP.
