Mt Pleasant, IL (May 12, 2020) – Officials from the Illinois State Police responded to the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Mount Pleasant Township on Monday, May 11th. The crash occurred that afternoon at around 1:03 p.m. Initial reports revealed that a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche and a 2014 Dodge Ram collided at the intersection of Lyndon and Bunker Hill roads.

For unknown reasons, the driver of the Avalanche failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the driver’s side of the pickup truck. Darrel C. Neubauer, the driver of the Chevy, was uninjured in the accident. The driver of the Dodge, Shannon Robinson, suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized.

Neubauer was cited for failing to obey a stop sign. The ongoing investigation is being managed by ISP.
