Metropolis, IL (May 16, 2020) – Local law enforcement officials were called to the scene of an accident on Friday morning, May 15th. The crash occurred on I-24 EB outside of Metropolis. According to initial reports, the accident took place at around 8:43 a.m.

Local sources revealed that the accident occurred between Metropolis and Vienna, Illinois. All lanes on the highway were reportedly blocked. At this time, the severity of the resulting injuries hasn’t been reported.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is currently in progress.
