Auburn, IL (May 7, 2020) – The woman who was killed in a collision at Casey’s convenience store in Auburn, Illinois has been identified by local authorities. According to updated reports, Obaidah Gresham, 62, of Auburn was killed after being struck by a dump truck that careened into the parking lot on Lincoln Street. Gresham was pronounced dead at around 12:45 p.m.
Local authorities reported that the 43-year-old Auburn man driving the truck failed to negotiate a curve on State Route 4 and crashed into the parking lot of the store. No charges have been filed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the crash is being managed by the Illinois State Police. More details will be released as the investigation continues.
